At 8:00 a.m. I went swimming for the zillionth and last time of the trip. Why would anyone go to the beach when there's a nice lovely pool right outside the door where nothing can eat you and you won't get yucky salt and gritty sand imbedded in your never-you-mind.

One last swim

Gerald tried once again to indoctrinate Tom in his Ponzi scheme, and then we left our Puerto Rican home away from home. We topped off ole Smoky with gas and returned it to Hertz. We had driven a total of 570 miles. You can cover a lot of ground on an island in 570 miles.

We arrived in Knoxville at 6:47 p.m., and I proceeded to use my newly-acquired aggressive driving skills to get us to a Mexican restaurant in record time for some much-needed tacos, almost always our first stop when returning home.

Until next time, adios and buen viaje!
